Further Uses of Life Assurance - Twins

Although not a type of life assurance, those with a family history of twins may be interested in insuring to cover some of the extra expenses which the arrival of twins would involve. Should this happy event occur, there would be more to pay on costs, nappies, prams, etc., and you can insure for a premium of about £20 for each £1, 000 of cover. The cost will be increased by about 10 % where there is a family history of twins. The babies must live for at least twenty-four hours before a claim can be made, and the parents must have applied for insurance at least six months before the expected date of birth.
